PhilosophyI’ve had the opportunity to work with a variety of talented students over the years, ranging from high school to Ph.D. I’m always happy to discuss possible mentoring opportunities for academic research, professional development. I am especially committed to supporting Latino students.

I approach teaching and mentorship as a collaborative process, adapting my guidance to each student’s goals—whether they involve academic research, industry, or exploration. I believe students learn best by doing. In class, I create supportive environments where students can tackle meaningful problems and experiment with creative solutions. In research, I help students identify projects that genuinely interest them, then establish clear milestones and tangible outcomes. I foster agency and independence while maintaining rigorous standards for methods, evidence, and responsible research. Above all, I strive to lead with empathy, communicate clearly, and ensure that students from all backgrounds feel respected, challenged, and empowered to develop ideas of their own.
